Minnesota Education Commissioner Cassellius elected to national school leadership board

Brenda Cassellius will serve a three-year term on the Council of Chief State School Officers’ Board of Directors.

Minnesota Education Commissioner Brenda Cassellius has been elected to the board of directors of the Council of Chief State School Officers.

The Washington-based nonprofit is made up of  public officials who head state departments of elementary and secondary education across the U.S.

The group says it “provides leadership, advocacy and technical assistance on all major educational issues and national policy.”
