Megabus to start operating from St. Paul’s Union Depot

The newly remodeled Union Depot in downtown St. Paul will be the new home for the Megabus starting Wednesday, when the inter-city bus service will operate out of the depot in downtown St. Paul.

The Megabus arrival and departure point in St. Paul has been at the Midway Shopping Center. From St. Paul, bus riders can go to Chicago, Madison or Milwaukee.

Amtrak trains and the Central Corridor Green Line light rail trains will begin using the Depot later this year.

Jefferson Lines inter-city buses also use the Depot. So do Metro Transit buses and Minnesota Valley Transit Authority buses.

The Union Depot also has parking, electric vehicle charging stations, bike racks, and pick-up and drop-off locations for taxis and passenger vehicles.

The historic Depot’s $243 million restoration was completed in 2012.
