Temporary Webber Park library to officially open in North Minneapolis

Hennepin County Library officials officially will open a temporary home for the Webber Park Library Saturday in North Minneapolis.

The temporary location in Camden Center, 4203 Webber Parkway, is being used because the original building, just down the street, was closed in July because of structural problems.

The official opening is 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, with remarks from a host of dignitaries, including:

  • Hennepin County CommissionerLinda Higgins,
  • Hennepin County Library Director Lois Thompson
  • Library Board President Jill Joseph
  • Minneapolis City Council President Barb Johnson
  • Minneapolis School Board Director Kim Ellison
  • State Representative Joe Mullery

The temporary library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
