A new edition of “An Employer’s Guide to Employment Law Issues in Minnesota” is now available from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
The new edition — the 12th — includes sections on the Affordable Care Act and health care portability.
The agency says the book “provides a broad overview of federal and state laws that pertain to the employee-employer relationship and offers guidance for hiring and managing employees, developing employment policies and avoiding liability for employment law violations.”
DEED Commissioner Katie Clark Sieben said:
“Employers and employees are linked in a dynamic relationship that is subject to a variety of social, economic and legal factors.”
DEED developed the book with the Minneapolis law firm of Lindquist & Vennum.
