National AFL-CIO president’s U speech canceled because of weather

The talk by AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, scheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday, will be rescheduled, organizers say.

Predictions for heavy snow have caused the cancellation of a Thursday speech by Richard Trumka, president of the national AFL-CIO at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

Organizers say they will reschedule the speech.

Trumka was going to speak about labor rights and civil rights at the 5 p.m. event.
