EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy to tour the Science Museum’s heat-recovery system

EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy will be in St. Paul Wednesday afternoon to discuss energy efficiency efforts.

She and Mayor Chris Coleman are scheduled to tour a heat-recovery system at the Science Museum of Minnesota that is greatly reducing energy use.

She’ll also talk about energy efficiency efforts and EPA’s work to reduce carbon pollution with teens in the Science Museum’s Kitty Andersen Youth Science Center.

McCarthy has been in Salt Lake City, Portland and Seattle recently in advance of the EPA’s upcoming proposal to reduce greenhouse emissions from existing power plants.
