The conference will include sessions on the economy and jobs and education, and Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly will speak to the group on Sunday.

Gov. Mark Dayton is scheduled to fly to Nashville Friday afternoon to take part in the weekend summer conference of the National Governor’s Association.

The conference will focus on education, workforce, health care, veterans and jobs, organizers say.

Vice President Joe Biden will address the group’s opening session tonight. Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly will address the governors on Sunday, when the topic is “The Future of Main Street.”

Dayton is one of nine governors on the group’s executive committee and is a member of its Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee.
