GOP candidates for governor to hold radio debate today

With less than two weeks until the Aug. 12 primary, the four Republican candidates for governor will face off today in a noon radio debate.

Scott Honour, Jeff Johnson, Marty Seifert and Kurt Zellers will have a studio debate at Minnesota Public Radio, with the station’s political editor Mike Mulcahy serving as moderator.

Johnson, a Hennepin County commissioner, has the GOP endorsement and Honour, a finance executive, has raised the most money in the race.

The debate will air live and stream on the MPR web site.

The winner of the primary will face Gov. Mark Dayton in the Nov. 4 general election.
