Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson, the GOP-endorsed candidate for governor, was endorsed Tuesday by Rep. Erik Paulsen.
Johnson is running in the Aug. 12 primary against businessman Scott Honour, former legislator Marty Seifert and state Rep. Kurt Zellers. The winner will move on to the Nov. 4 election to face DFL Gov. Mark Dayton, who is seeking a second term.
Paulsen, who represents the 3rd District, called Johnson “… a tireless leader for spending restraint and has the experience necessary to help Minnesota become a state where businesses expand and create jobs again. Jeff’s character and integrity will make him a great governor for Minnesota.”
