Forty-eight finalists have been chosen in the Knight Green Line Challenge, the contest that will provide funding for a community-based projects to improve neighborhoods in St. Paul along the light rail route.
The finalists were narrowed down from 579 applications by a panel of 11 people from the community. Winners will be announced in October.
The 48 finalists are listed online, and include an urban farm/greenhouse, a proposal to transform the I-94 bridges, a plan to add wi-fi hot spots, a Hmong history center, an app for local transportation and putting a barbecue space at University and Dale.
