MN Jobs Coalition targets 12 DFLers in state House election

The Minnesota Jobs Coalition’s Legislative Fund has targeted 12 state House members for defeat in the November election because they voted in “lock-step with Democrats in Minneapolis and St. Paul in support of Mark Dayton’s failed economic agenda.”

All 12 are DFLers. Seven are first-termers.

The fund’s chairman Ben Golnik, said: “These legislators served as a rubber stamp for DFL party leadership on economic issues important to their constituents.”

The 12 are:

  • Tom Anzelc, 5B, Balsam Township, 4th term
  • Zachary Dorholt, 14B, St. Cloud, 1st term
  • Roger Erickson, 2A, Baudette, 1st term
  • Andrew Falk, 17A, Murdock, 3rd term
  • Tim Faust 11B, Hinckley, 3rd term
  • Patti Fritz, 24B, Faribault, 5th term
  • Ben Lien, 4A, Moorhead, 1st term
  • Jay McNamar, 12A, Elbow Lake, 1st term
  • Joe Radinovich, 10B, Crosby, 1st term
  • Shannon Savick, 27A, Wells, 1st term
  • Mary Sawatzky, 17B Willmar, 1st term
  • John Ward, 10A, Baxter, 4th term

    Elections

It’s pretty hard to claim that the governor’s economic plan is a failure when we have one of the best employment rates in the country and we’re far outpacing our conservative neighbors to the east, Wisconsin.

If this is the best the Republicans can do to try and taint Democratic candidates, then they need to go back into the huddle and consult their play book.

Sadly, there is an audience for that sort of talk. It fires up the die hard Republicans and the uninformed will take it as truth if they hear it often enough.

      big city resentment

I’m guessing the key phrase is actually “Democrats in Minneapolis and St. Paul”. They’re hoping people in targeted districts will vote by resentment rather than results.

The name of this political fund

May be the biggest political joke of the year. How pathetic – the group prefers stealing from public education to balance the budget
