Bachmann tells Time she’s thankful for foster parents and those who adopt

Time asked Bachmann and other public figures what they are grateful for.

In this week’s Time magazine, Rep. Michele Bachmann says she is thankful for the “many Minnesota heroes who care for foster children and adopt them.”

The magazine printed short notes from public figures what they are grateful for. Answers from 10, including Bachmann, former President George H.W. Bush and John Kerry, are in this week’s print magazine. Others are online.

Bachmann says in the online version of the piece:

This year, as my time in the House of Representatives is coming to a close, I am particularly thankful for the opportunity to serve the wonderful people of Minnesota.

In the print version, she lists some of those foster and adoption heroes:

“Mark and Julie Martindale of Elk River, who have adopted nine children with disabilities; the Malikowskis of Sartell, who adopted their daughter from Ethiopia; and the Ryghs of Bayport who adopted their son from Jamaica.”
