St. Paul’s Highland Park Library reopens after $7.9 million renovation

St. Paul officials will officially reopen the Highland Park Library Sunday, after an 11-month renovation and expansion.

The open house at the library and community center, 1974 Ford Parkway, runs from 1 to 5 p.m., with a 2 p.m. ceremony.

The renovations, which cost $7.9 million, include:

  • Additional 5,000 square feet of public space
  • Express Center at street level
  • Community meeting room
  • Expanded children’s area
  • New teen zone
  • Comfortable seating for reading
  • Outdoor reading garden

    SunRay Library just re-opened as well
