Leaders of the Minnesota Legislature will offer a preview of the session Thursday at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

DFL Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk and GOP House Speaker Kurt Daudt will talk about priorities and the state’s projected $1 billion surplus.

The noon to 1:15 p.m. event is at the Humphrey School’s Cowles Auditorium, 301 19th Av. S., Minneapolis.

Former House Speaker Steve Sviggum and Professor Larry Jacobs will moderate.

The event is free and open to the public, but those attending are asked to register online.
