Minnesota Housing Partnership celebrates 25th anniversary with tour of Schmidt Artist Lofts

The Minnesota Housing Partnership celebrates its 25th anniversary next week with an event at the Schmidt Artist Lofts in St. Paul.

The partnership works with many groups to build and preserve affordable housing. The Schmidt project, which transformed the historic, abandoned brewery into a successful lofts project in the West Seventh neighborhood, is the sort of project it would like to promote, and its advocacy helps such projects come to be.

The anniversary event is Feb. 12 at the Lofts, 900 W. 7th St. Guided tours of the lofts will leave at 4:10, 4:25, 4:40, and 4:50 p.m. A brief program, featuring a talk by Susan Haigh of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity (and former Met Council chair) is at 5:45 p.m.

Registration can be made online by Feb. 5.
