Dayton’s ‘State of State’ speech in a state of flux; now set for April 9

First planned for March 25, then April 8, it looks like April 9 will be the magic day.

Gov. Mark Dayton had initially planned to give his annual “State of the State” speech to the Legislature on March 25, but Republicans checked their calendars and said committee deadlines made that a bad day.

The governor then suggested April 8, but more scheduling problems arose.

So now, the governor’s office says, it’s going to be April 9; 7 p.m. in the House chambers.
