Gov. Mark Dayton has appointed former state Rep. Peggy Leppik to the state’s Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board.
Leppik, a Republican from Golden Valley, was elected to six terms in the Legislature, from 1991-2001, and also has served as vice chair of the Metropolitan Council.
Leppik’s term on the six-member board expires Jan. 4, 2016. She replaces former GOP legislator Neil Peterson, who retired earlier this year.
The Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board oversees campaign finance registration and disclosure, public subsidy administration, lobbyist registration and disclosure, and economic interest disclosure by public officials.
