Some light rail segments in Minneapolis to close for weekend maintenance

Light rail service on parts of the Green Line and the Blue Line in Minneapolis will be shut down over the weekend for maintenance and construction.

Metro Transit says:

On the Blue Line, light-rail service will be suspended between Target Field and Franklin Avenue stations; on the Green Line, light-rail service will be suspended between Target Field and Stadium Village stations.

The outages run from 7 p.m. tonight (Friday) until 5 a.m. Monday morning.

Buses will available at each affected station at scheduled times, but officials say there may be delays, so “plan accordingly.”
