Gov. Mark Dayton appointed two new judges this week to fill openings in the Twin Cities.
In Ramsey County, he appointed Richard H. Kyle, Jr., to replace Judge John B. Van de North, who retired earlier this year.
Kyle, the son of U.S. District Judge Richard H. Kyle, has been an attorney with Fredrikson & Byron’s White Collar & Regulatory Defense, Health Care Fraud & Compliance, and Litigation Groups.
In Hennepin County, Michael Browne will replace Judge Philip Bush, who also retired earlier this year.
Browne is Director of the Office of Police Conduct Review for the City of Minneapolis, and had previously been Assistant Director at the Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights, the Legal Affairs Manager at the Minnesota Department of Human Rights, and the interim Director of the Department of Civil Rights.
