Flags on government buildings are at half-staff today in observance of the fourteenth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.
Gov. Mark Dayton’s order calls for Minnesota and U.S. flags to be lowered from sunrise to sunset.
And he urged Minnesotans to participate in a national moment of silence at 7:46 a.m.
The governor notes that President Obama has called for community service and asked Americans to observe the day with appropriate ceremonies and activities to honor those killed and injured when terrorists hijacked and crashed airliners.
