The Minnesota DFL has hired Rachel Boyer to be its new communications director.
She replaces Ellen Perrault, who left the full-time position in July, but has returned part-time while attending graduate school.
Boyer is a native of Fairbanks, Alaska, and a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead.
She’s been working at NARAL Pro-Choice America. Her previous stints include press secretary for the Texas Democratic Party, work on Rep. Keith Ellison’s election campaign and in his office in Washington, D.C., and in Sen. Al Franken’s office.
She starts Oct. 12.
