Peggy Flanagan will be sworn in Monday as the newest member of the state House.
She ran unopposed Tuesday — and won — in the special election in District 46A to replace Ryan Winkler, who resigned when his wife took a job in Europe
Both Winkler and Flanagan are DFLers.
Her swearing-in ceremony is at 3 p.m. Monday in the state Veterans Service Building’s fifth floor conference room.
Briana Bierschbach’s MinnPost profile notes that as a University of Minnesota student Flanagan worked on Paul Wellstone’s 2002 U.S. Senate campaign. She was also a Minneapolis School Board member, and she was a staffer at Wellstone Action, the organization named after the late senator.
