Cam Winton, who finished fourth in the 2013 Minneapolis race, has been hired by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce as director of energy and labor management.

Winton, who has worked as an attorney in the power-generation industry, received 11 percent of the vote in the final round of the mayoral election’s ranked-choice voting.

He also received some publicity last year when it was noted that he had a Wikipedia page that was based on his failed mayoral run.

The Chamber notes that during his campaign, “Cam advocated reforms to business regulations. In his volunteer time, Cam is the board chair of the KIPP public charter middle school in north Minneapolis.”
