Audio report: Olympics already under way, despite media indifference to U.S. women’s soccer

Events for the Beijing Olympics actually began today — not in two days with the opening ceremonies — but you wouldn’t know it from the poor media turnout for the opening game of the U.S. women’s soccer team, which ended up losing 2-0 to Norway.  One other sure sign that the Olympics are under way: the first full-fledged controversy involving four U.S. athletes.
