CivicFest free for rest of run, but visitors urged to make Gustav donations

Starting Wednesday, there will be no admission charge to attend CivicFest, organizers announced today. Instead, organizers hope that visitors will donate money to help victims of Hurricane Gustav.

Admission had been $15 for adults. The exhibit, which features presidential and Minnesota history, is running through Thursday at the Minneapolis Convention Center in conjunction with the Republican National Convention.

Hours for the remaining days are 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday. — Joe Kimball
