Video report: ‘She’s me!’ Delegates react to Palin speech

As the  reviews flood in from Gov. Sarah Palin’s acceptance speech Wednesday night, it appears her hockey-mom, small-town roots hit all the right notes with women in the Minnesota delegation, moving some to near tears. A dad in the delegation identifies with the vice-presidential nominee’s well-publicized predicament in that he also has teen-age daughters … and an infant grandchild.

    SHAME ON ROXANNE,

Glaring example of double standard for Repubs/Conservatives. Flash back to the year 2000. The night before Al Gore accepts his party’s nomination. His son is busted for driving at an extremely high speed with mind altering substances in his vehicle and excessive amounts in his system. One line in every daily I could find, buried way in back of the A section.

Flash forward 2008. All concerned say that this story of the teen daughter is “off limits”. Not to Roxanne! She asks everyone about it. Shame-Shame-Shame.

    Gentlemen,
Thank you for your comments…just posing the question as any ‘thoughtful’ journalist would.

Eric, you are correct, This is a glaring example of the media’s typical double standard towards Repubs/Conservatives. A more “thoughtful approach” would have been asking about Palin’s views on woman’s issues.
