Obama interview gives ’60 Minutes its biggest ratings in nine years

President-elect Barack Obama’s interview on 60 Minutes last night gave the venerable Sunday night news show its highest ratings in nine years, television sites are reporting

An estimated 24.5 million viewers watched reporter Steve Kroft ask him about domestic and foreign policy issues, then talk to Obama and his wife, Michelle, about family things.

    Seems about right. Obama’s presence brings 60 Minutes some much-needed cultural relevence. At the same time, Palin helps SNL.
