Mum’s the word from transition aides on Barack Obama’s intentions regarding the White House Office of Political Affairs. While campaigning, John McCain said he would abolish the office. Politico.com’s Carrie Budoff Brown reports that the Republican National Committee says Obama is sending mixed messages “on his commitment to end the so-called permanent campaign in Washington.” Read more here.
