Obama and Biden to arrive in D.C. for the Inauguration via train

Joe Sudbay at AmericaBlog posts a note from the Presidential Inauguration Committee stating President-elect Barack Obama, Vice President-elect Joe Biden and their families will travel by train to Washington, D.C. on Saturday, Jan. 17, hosting events in Philadelphia, Wilmington, and Baltimore along the way. Emmett S. Beliveau, Executive Director of the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Committee: “As part of the most open and accessible Inauguration in history, we hope to include as many Americans as possible who wish to participate, but can’t be in Washington.” Read the rest of the post here.
