Bush declares Obama Inauguration emergency to aid cash-strapped D.C.

The Associated Press reports President Bush declared an emergency in the District of Columbia at the request of Mayor Adrian M. Fenty. Fenty believes the size of the crowds arriving for President-elect Barack Obama’s Inauguration will exceed the city’s ability to protect the public.
