Joint session of Congress to count Electoral College votes

Kris Alingod notes that lawmakers from the two chambers of Congress will meet Thursday to count votes cast by the Electoral College. President-elect Barack Obama should receive 365 votes to Sen. John McCain’s tally of 173. Vice President Dick Cheney, as President of the Senate, will announce the results and declare Obama’s victory official. Read the rest of the post here.
