Michele Bachmann using new Dem ‘critique’ website as way to rally supporters

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Minnesota’s 6th District Rep. Michele Bachmann is attempting to turn to her advantage a new website aimed at critiquing the validity of her public statements, according to Minnesota Public Radio.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee recently launched the site Bachmann Watch: Michele Bachmann vs. The Truth.

In turn, Bachman has reached out to supporters. In a letter that MPR quotes in part, the Republican congresswoman calls the site the “latest attempt to discredit every word out of my mouth and to paint anyone who disagrees with the liberal agenda sweeping through Washington as an extremist.”

She says: “If you get a chance, check it out. It’s incredible how fast and loose they are willing to play with the truth. We thought we saw the height of their spin machine last October, but, really, it looks like this is just the beginning.

“The Democrats are gunning for me because I refuse to shrink from a fight. With your help, I can keep fighting for your freedom, for your pocketbook, and for all that the Constitution has secured for the American people for generations.”

This is classic Bachmann. Those who have drank the Bachmann Koolaid will absolutely give her a pass for playing fast and lose with the truth. She needs to be highly quotable to keep getting offers to appear on Fox News shows and to keep herself in the GOP limelight. Now she’s playing the victim card – “those big bad Dems are picking on me!!”

Of course I meant “loose” with the truth. Lose is what Bachmann will do in the next election. Loose would describe her lips when she’s speaking half-truths and non-truths on the telly and radio.

Sorry, but that website is lame and fugly.

It’s a shame that your biased report didn’t link to Michelle’s blog, so I have:

la Bachmann will preach well to her choir, and raise lots of money.
She still just squeaked through against an underfunded unknown in the last election, and will be lucky to do as well in the next one.

    And Ms. Ceep:
Which blog are you referring to (your link is to The Bachmann Watch (which looks factual and well documented to me), not to Bachmann’s own blog.
And what do you mean by “fugly”?

Rep. Bachmann says: “If you get a chance, check it out. It’s incredible how fast and loose they are willing to play with the truth.”

Fast and loose with truth? When you look it up in the dictionary, there’s Ms. Bachmann’s picture as the lead perpetrator.
