Al Franken to confer this afternoon with VP Biden

WASHINGTON, D.C. —  Democrat Al Franken is scheduled to sit down with Vice President Joe Biden here later today, according to the VP’s daily schedule.

The meeting is closed to the press, but Franken spokeswoman Jess McIntosh said that their conversation would likely focus on the continuing legal battle between Franken and former Republican Sen. Norm Coleman over Minnesota’s Senate seat. Another topic is expected to be the administration’s priorities.
