GOP congressional group raising cash for Paulsen

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Politico reports that the National Republican Congressional Committee is already raising cash to help at-risk House Republicans — “and warning members that the committee will not bail out those who are insufficiently prepared for competitive races.”

Freshman Minnesota Rep. Erik Paulsen is among the first 10 incumbents who qualify for the “Patriot Program,” according to Politico.

Although Paulsen defeated his Democratic opponent this fall, his district voted for Barack Obama in 2008.
