WASHINGTON, D.C. — Newly turned Democrat Sen. Arlen Specter supports former Republican Sen. Norm Coleman of Minnesota and his efforts to win back his seat, according to the New York Times Magazine.

In an interview, Deborah Soloman asked Specter this question:

With your departure from the Republican Party, there are no more Jewish Republicans in the Senate. Do you care about that?

Specter’s answer: I sure do. There’s still time for the Minnesota courts to do justice and declare Norm Coleman the winner.
