Week in review: Minnesota’s congressional delegation

WASHINGTON, D.C. — As Congress prepares to come back to Washington from its week-long district work period, here’s a look at what Minnesota’s delegation was up to in the state and beyond this week.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Rep. Collin Peterson held a series of meetings with local officials on flood prevention and protection.

Klobuchar also announced that she would be introducing a bill to speed up the national response to food-borne illnesses using Minnesota as a model.

Rep. Erik Paulsen got a helping hand from state House Minority Whip Eric Cantor, who traveled to Minnesota to help the freshman raise money.

Rep. Betty McCollum discussed the Federal Home Loan Bank’s Urban First-time Homebuyer Fund with constituents.

Rep. Keith Ellison traveled to the Middle East and met with the king of Jordan.

Rep. Michele Bachmann listened to constituents’ health-care concerns and became a character in a new comic book.
