Franken to get Coleman’s Senate office space

WASHINGTON, D.C. — When Sen.-elect Al Franken moves to Washington, D.C., next week, his Senate office will be familiar to at least one former Minnesota lawmaker — Norm Coleman.

According to the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, Franken will be assigned to the same offices that Coleman used to occupy on the third floor of the Hart Senate Office Building.

Between the time that he is certified and the time he is sworn in, Franken can have two staff members on the payroll with access to the office. His full staff can move in after he is sworn in, according to the Senate Rules Committee.

Franken is expected to be sworn in early next week.
