U.S. Rep. John Kline, R-Minn., wants to scrap both the Democratic and Republican health care bills and start over, according to Roll Call.

“It’s time to push the reset button,” Roll Call reported that Kline told members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce gathered in Waconia, Minn., Thursday.

Kline also called inaccurate the Obama administration’s claim that people will be able to keep their current coverage.

  1. Liberal Democrat admits: we must cut Medicare.

Some people, including Medicare recipients, will have to give up some current benefits to truly reform the nation’s health-care system, Rep. Betsy Markey told a gathering of constituents in Fort Collins, Colorado on Wednesday.

Markey has repeatedly said during the August congressional recess that Medicare spending needs to be reined in to help pay for reforming the broader health-care system.

“There’s going to be some people who are going to have to give up some things, honestly, for all of this to work,” Markey said at a Congress on Your Corner event at CSU.

  2. Boy, would I love to start over. I find it of continuing interest that Republican rhetoric with regard to health care is far more radical than anything they support in practice, or anything they would allow to happen.

  3. Congress should make up it’s mind to cut costs by 50%. 80% though regulation, and 20% by political rhetoric.

  4. Maybe we should start over and pick a Congressional District 2 Congressman who honors constituents with his presence? The Republican Party Congressional District 1 Chair sent a public letter to Tim Walz explaining why Town Hall meetings were a vital part of democracy. I highly recommend John Kline read it!

Walz is having two public town hall meetings on health care and Kline has had zero.
