Senate confirms Jones as U.S. attorney

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Senate today confirmed B. Todd Jones as U.S. attorney for Minnesota.
“I know Todd will hit the ground running,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who nominated Jones for the position in March, said in a statement.  “He’s a seasoned, highly-respected attorney who is fair-minded and has impeccable integrity.  He has a strong record of working productively with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.”
Jones, who previously served as U.S. attorney for Minnesota from May 1998 to Jan. 2001, has been working as a partner at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P.
