No post offices will be closed in state

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Postal Service will not be closing any post offices in Minnesota, as previous plans had proposed.

“This is good news for Minnesota,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., said in a statement today. “I had heard from many small town residents who were very concerned about lengthy drives to pick up their mail if post offices were closed.  I am glad that the Postal Service responded to these concerns.”
