Pawlenty fundraising in Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The invite for Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s fundraiser in Washington this week asks guests to contribute or raise $5,000 to be dubbed a “Leadership Team Member” for Pawlenty’s new political action committee, according to CNN.

The fundraiser will be held Thursday at the home of lobbyist John Milne and his wife, Deb Anderson.

This year Milne, who mostly donates to Republican candidates, has lobbied Congress on issues including transportation, health, pharmaceutical interests and homeland security.

Before the dinner at Milne’s house, Pawlenty will kick off the evening with a more low-key “Pretzels & Pints” event at a Washington restaurant and bar.

That reception costs $50 a person to meet Pawlenty and $25 for hill staffers.
