Office of the Secretary of State Releases Preliminary Recount Dates, Times, and Locations

ST. PAUL, Minn.-Nov. 15, 2010- The Office of the Secretary of State today released a listing of preliminary recount dates, times and locations in preparation for potential recounts in the gubernatorial election and three legislative races. The State Canvassing Board convenes on Nov. 23 to canvass the results of the 2010 general election and determine whether any recounts are required under Minnesota law. Unofficial election results suggest that recounts may be required by state law in the gubernatorial election as well as state House races 15B, 25B, and 27A due to vote margins that are less than one-half of one percent.
