Flags at half-staff, community service to commemorate Sept. 11 terror attacks

Flags on state buildings will fly at half-staff today to commemorate the Sept. 11 terror attacks, Gov. Mark Dayton has declared.

The governor also proclaimed it to be Patriot Day and A Day of Service and Remembrance in the state, as a mark of respect for the victims of this tragedy.

In his proclamation, Dayton notes that President Obama has called Americans to participate in community service today and to observe the day with appropriate ceremonies.
