What is Pollen?
For those of you experiencing Pollen for the first time, here’s a quick overview of who we are:
“Pollen is a community comprised of civic-minded connectors who share ideas, career and civic engagement opportunities and peer-to-peer recognition to create positive impact and personal and professional growth for its members.”
Pollen volume 1 was shared with several hundred members on December 4, 2009. We’ve subsequently grown to several thousand community members thanks to your outreach, connectivity, and cross-pollenation efforts. Thank you!

15 Learnings on “networking” by Pollenite Lars Leafblad
The United Way has set out on an important and ambitious project to support social enterprises in the Twin Cities. They have asked Engine for Social Innovation to start by helping to define what a social enterprise is and then to find all of the social enterprises operating in the Twin Cities. We are working on this project in collaboration with Social Venture Partners and Social Enterprise Alliance to cast a wide net.
Please see click this link to help us identify organizations doing important work and help the United Way foster the social enterprise movement in the Twin Cities. Also, there is an incentive – we will draw five names from those who respond to each win a case of Finnegans Irish Amber! (via Jim Delaney)
