Jamecia Bennett is a 3-time Grammy Award winner who lives in Minneapolis. Jamecia is a singer, director, actress and business owner. She carries the torch of being new lead vocalist of the original Grammy Award Winning Sounds Of Blackness. She sang background for Janet Jackson, Rod Stewart, Jonathan Butler, Jennifer Holiday, Patti LaBelle, Luther Vandross, Sting, Prince and countless others.

Jamecia is no stranger to the stage. She’s one of Twin Cites leading actresses in Broadway-nominated best shows to see: “Caroline or Change”, “Marie & Rosetta”, “Raisin in the Sun”, “Passing Strange”, “42 Street”, “Color Purple”, “Detroit 67”, “Skeleton Crew”,  & most recently “Beauty and the Beast”.
