Founder of Urban Mass Media Group

Pete Rhodes is a producer of cultural media and arts programming, providing communications, entertainment, outreach and education to urban markets since 1980. He is the founder of the
Urban Mass Media Group a cultural events, communication and marketing company and founder of the Minnesota Black Music Awards. The MBMA program has presented more than 500 awards. The company includes BMA Cable Networks formerly CBLS Cable radio, a 24 hour black music cable music service.

Pete Rhodes is the executive producer and host of the regional Emmy© nominated Urban Perspectives show a weekly community affairs show formerly distributed by WCCO/CBS. He is the first Black American recipients of the Midwest Emmy’s Silver Circle award signifying 25 years in the broadcasting industry. His mission is to provide diversity in programming content and outreach through quality programs and projects that spotlight contributions and services in his community for audience and clients locally and worldwide.
