Capital City ups its online presence with ‘Spotlight on St. Paul’ blog

St. Paul is increasing its online information presence with a new blog, “Spotlight on St. Paul.”

The first edition is out today, with stories about:

  • The 10th anniversary of the Lowertown Music in Mears concert series, which starts its summer run of Thursday night shows in the park this week.
  • The city’s collection of YouTube videos, which includes business openings to mayoral speeches.
  • An update on construction of the Penfield apartments/Lund’s grocery story, on the old downtown police station site.
  • A  rally to prepare for the annual National Night Out event in August.

Mayoral Press Secretary Clarise Tushie-Lessard says she’ll update the blog with new items two or three times a week, with information “that people don’t normally hear about.”

She’ll get contributions from city departments and the seven wards, including happenings, information and programs throughout the city. She promises photos and videos, too.
