Mayor Coleman’s budget speech is Wednesday at new Matsuura Machinery headquarters

He’ll deliver the address at the new international facility for the machine tool maker, which opened this spring on Randolph near the river.

St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman will deliver his annual budget address at noon Wednesday at the new Matsuura Machinery USA headquarters.

Matsuura, an international machine tool company, opened its 38,000-square-footfacility this spring at 325 Randolph Ave., near the Mississippi River

Coleman’s proposed budget for 2014 will have some good news — increased state aid is on the way — and some bad — cost increases for the Saints ballpark.

The city council will spend the rest of the year perusing the budget before coming up with a final spending and levy plan in December.
