An overflow crowd packed the Sabes Jewish Community Center in St. Louis Park yesterday afternoon to listen to Minnesota political and religious leaders speak in support of Israel’s recent actions in Gaza.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former U.S. Sen. Mark Dayton, U.S. Senate hopefuls Norm Coleman and Al Franken and U.S. Reps. John Kline and Michele Bachmann were among those presenting a united front in support of Israel.
A vocal group of protesters lined the entrance to the center, calling for an end to the Israeli incursion and the killing of innocent Palestinians in Gaza.
