According to Jacquelyn Smith at Forbes, one of the biggest mistakes made by job seekers is failing to regulate emotions.

A new study published in the Academy of Management Journal found that the jobless are often angry when beginning an employment search, especially if they were let go from their previous job.

After beginning the application process, many job seekers become overconfident, only to find themselves frustrated and demoralized by rejections.
